SSH tunneling with password and public key authentication supported Connection syncing via iCloud connection syncing Built for iPad Pro, iPad, iPhone, and iPod Supports physical mice and Fluid Remote Desktop protocol for high-performance remote desktop and audio Works with almost any computer and operating system I acknowledge that a broadcast monitor may provide a solution, but I'd like to see this acknowledged and fixed (as it's something that worked before.) As it stands I'm going back to 5.- Secure: encrypted connection between computers, supports NLA, TLS/SSL encryption for RDP, SSH Tunnelling, and SSL/TLS encryption for VNC This suggests that 'Flip on vertical sync' is not working correctly on Version 6. This chimes with other users on this board. These tests are done on the same computer with the same hardware - I just uninstalled MC 6 and installed MC 5.5 - no tearing. Media Composer 6 onwards will only display full screen playback with tearing through the screen - worse on any pans etc (unusable for my setup). Media Composer 5.5 and FCP 7 will display full screen playback on a second external monitor with no horizontal tearing. Thanks hbrock - I thought that was the cause too - but. Unfortunately, this setting has no effect on the Composer monitors. In the Full Screen Display settings select "Flip on Vertical Sync" to eliminate the tearing when in Full Screen mode. There is a solution if you're using Full Screen Playback. You don't see it on a external video monitor because it's locked to the incoming video sync rate. It's generally not noticeable on static material but you'll probably see it on fast pans. The horizontal tearing is caused by the mismatch between the refresh rate of the computer display and the video playback vertical frequency.

#JUMP DESKTOP EXTERNAL MONITOR UPDATE#
Please could we get an update on this? It seems odd to me that I'd have to plug in a matrox box back into the same external monitor to solve this programme (which seems to be the suggestion) when online websites such as BBC iplayer and SKY are playing back 25fps shot material and don't exhibit any sign of tearing whereas it's all over the media composer playback. On MC6 tearing occors mainly on movement but I've also seen it on sit down interviews with very little movement.ĭefinitely related to how the pictures are being drawn on screen. This does not happen at all in FCP 7 on same kit. Where you are seeing the tearing (record monitor, full-screen playback, or both) All playback monitors Project Setting (format/framerate) 1080/25p
#JUMP DESKTOP EXTERNAL MONITOR PRO#
I'm seeing tearing in all playback windows on Macbook Pro and HP LP2475w second monitor (this has support for 1080p/25fps and tearing is still evident over hdmi connection).
